LG has announced US-market pricing and availability for some of its most unique new TVs at CEDIA Expo 2022. They include the OLED Flex, the first 42-inch display that can convert between flat and curved modes. It is joined by the Posé and StanbyME screens with their super-unusual "Lifestyle" stands, not to mention the newest and biggest member of the OLED Gallery series.
LG has released Android 12 to the LG Velvet, the first of a few smartphones that the company will upgrade to Google's latest OS. Android 12 has landed on South Korean handsets first and could take a few months to reach other markets.
LG could be set to reveal its most cutting-edge smartphone design yet if a patent for a new full-screen display module is any guide. The new panel is almost all-display with just a small cutout for what would likely house a speaker and tiny front-facing camera.
The "new" LG K9 comes to Russia with Android 7.1 Nougat onboard, as well as the same specs as the K8 handset that was introduced alongside the LG K10 at MWC 2018. Are you unable to download Android 9.0 Pie to your LG V30? Well, the South Korean has apparently pulled the update from its FOTA and LG Bridge servers. This may prove a temporary measure, but there is no word when LG will continue offering Pie to the V30.
LG has abandoned TV conventions with the StanbyME, a Smart TV that dovetails the LG Objet series. Not only does the StanbyME have a battery, but it also has a touchscreen and a large stand.
